Christmas Music

So, I played my violin in church on Sunday. I think it sounded really good. It's about 7 mins long, so if you have the time I think you should listen. :)

The Tree

Well, We finally got our Christmas Tree put up. I think it turned out really good. It also turned out smaller than we thought it would. Maybe next year we can get a bigger tree. One that could touch the ceiling... If Josiah will let me. Hope everyone is having a great Christmas holiday!

Christmas time

Christmas time is in the air. We finally got our tree put up, and the lights hung. The house looks so pretty now! I'll have to post a picture of us out Christmas tree hunting.
So that's a story in itself. We went out Christmas tree hunting with Josiah's Aunt and Uncle and their two children. It was so much fun. We were going to meet at their house at 9, but we didn't even get up till 9, so naturally we were late, and they knew that we were going to be late anyway, so everything went good. We still had to go get a tree license, by the time we got to their house they had breakfast waiting for us. It was so good. After that we loaded up in their van and went out to hunt for a Christmas tree. We found our tree maybe 20 mins after getting out there. The tree is about as tall as me. It is so cute! Josiah's little cousin came out with us and was in the picture. For the next hour or so we were looking for the Aunt and Uncles tree. They finally found a great one. I wish that we could put a big one like that in our home, but our house is so small. It's crazy!
After we got back we all went up to Cedar City to visit some more of Josiah's family. It was crazy how many people you can fit into a house. I think there 30 or more people there. It was so great to meet new relatives and get to know others.

Silverado

halloween concert

Here are some pictures. I was a witch and Josiah was a mad scientists. It was so much fun. I managed to get a picture of my stand partner too. The concert went on forever! But we played some fun songs.

Sunday Afternoon

It's a Sunday afternoon, with nothing to do. Don't you just love those days! I do. You can just be lazy around the house. It's wonderful! So now I decided to do something. Blog to you about my day!

Church was great. We had three talks in church and I needed them all. Brother Hunt, Sister Nikki Youlder and Brother Youlder both talked also. There was such a good song in the middle. Four Brothern got up and sang a song all accapella. It was so cool. I wish that we could clap in church because I would clap for them. That's how church was. The lesson in sunday school and RS was good too.

We have a CONCERT this THURSDAY. If anyone can come... It will be in the Cox Autitorium at 7:00pm. We will all be dressing up. That remindes me, I still need to sew our costumes! When the are finished I'll post some pictures of us in them.

Can you believe that evertime we have a concert, our ward decides to do something like a ward party or go to the temple? Crazy! So this THURSDAY they are having a chilli party with ice cream afterwards. You can also dress up in your costume if you wanted to. Sounds like fun, but we won't be able to go. Can you believe that! I wish that our concerts and ward activities woudn't be on the same day.

Halloween is this Friday! Does anyone know what they want to be yet? I'm going to be a witch. I've already got my hat and cape (I just need to sew it up). I went to the store and got fish net stockings to wear with my Witch costume. It will be fun. Do you think anyone will show up at our door on halloween? I hope so, we have tons of candy and I don't want to be the one eating it all. Anway, this is a long blog so i'm going to end now. I was introduced to blogging through my vt classes. Fun stuff!





A little about our family... Josiah is married to Maylene (that's me). And that's the two of us. We hope to expand our family soon. We are both taking a full schedule at Dixie College. Josiah is going into Visual Technology and I'm doing an Integrated Studies major. (that means I get to choose two majors! :) I'm doing Visual Technoloty and Music. ) Josiah and I are both in the Southwest Orchestra in Southern Utah. He plays the French Horn and I play the Violin. We are also in Dixie's Symphony. Maybe I'll put something up here for music, like our concert schedule! That would be cool. Than maybe some of my friends would be able to come to our concerts!
