Job hunt

We are in the process of doing a job hunt for Josiah.
The first week of January, Josiah applied for a job up in Cedar City. We heard back from them the very next day! It was amazing. They wanted him to come in for an interview that week. After the first interview the place called an wanted his references, he got a call back a few days later for the second interview to take place the week after that. He said that the interviews went really well. He got along with all the team members and the work environment was very relaxed.
We had been waiting for over a week when we heard back from them tonight. Josiah did not get the job but the company tried really hard to make a second position just for him! They were still waiting for someone from higher up in the company to make a decision about it. Keep your fingers crossed for us! I do hope that they will be able to create a second Graphic Designer job there. It would be a wonderful job for Josiah and help him build his portfolio.
I have started making some way cute hats. I'm sure everyone has seen the owl hats with the long ear flaps and big eyes on them. I thought they were so cute that I had to try out the pattern! The hats I have made have turned out super. :)
It is so fun to hear David and Caleb laugh and play together. Just today I heard David growling and was coming in to see what was going on when I hear Caleb give this huge laugh that made him fall down! It was so very cute. Being a mom to two children is so much different than a mom to one child. My children are such a blessing in my life. They give me something to do every day. I may not get the house work done each day, but my children are happy and taken care of. That's what is important right?
Caleb is trying to walk now! He can almost stand by himself and pushes a toy walker around the house. It is so very cute!

Working Rush

It's only Tuesday and this week has been crazy. I am working as a cashier at the college book store this week. So far it has been pretty good. I think the only reason I go back each semester is to get a little break from the kids, remind myself what it's like to work and let Josiah appreciate how hard I work around the house while he watches the kids. I get some money at the end of the week to spend however I want which is really nice. I think I will get a new pair of shoes and maybe some fun yarn to make some baby blankets for my friends who are expecting babies this year.

David is getting to be such a big boy! He is getting better at using his words and is connecting things together. Like when we get out of the car in a parking lot he has to hold our had. So he says "hold my hand please!!!" I just love this little kid. Maybe next week we can start on potty training. Anyone have some good suggestions?

Caleb is getting around more and more. He is pulling himself up to everything and tries to walk with it! Caleb has so much determination. He believes he can do anything. At the moment he is standing by David's bike trying to make it move. He is only 8 1/2 months old! I don't remember when David started standing up and trying to walk like this. If i'm not careful Caleb will be all grown up!

Josiah is finally done with his portfolio and is now applying for jobs. So far he has applied for two. One here in St. George and the other one in Cedar City. We will see how it goes. I'm in no hurry to move since I love this place so much! But Heavenly Father will make sure we get in the right place that is right for us. We will throw all our chips out and apply for everything. One of the hopeful jobs will stick!

I love being a mom!

Today has been a rather good day. Little Caleb only got up once last night to eat. It was so refreshing to get those extra few hours of deep sleep. We got up this morning and at David's request, made pancakes for everyone.
I was able to do some crafting today as well! I put up a strand of Christmas lights in David and Caleb's room today as well. They love being in there and looking at the sparkling lights. I made up a batch of salt ornaments. Tomorrow we will paint them and hang them up. It was so sticky getting them put together. I'm glad that David was watching a show while they were rolled out.

Tomorrow is David's birthday! I can't believe it! He will be 3 years old already. Where has the time gone. It seems like I was bringing him home from the hospital just the other day. I was so worried about taking care of such a small little guy. I would stress over David alot. He came home with jondace. We had to take him into the lab everyday and get blood work done to see if he had to stay under the billi lights. It was so much work! I'm so glad it didn't last long. Now 3 years later he is such a big boy! David loves to help me with anything I am doing. His thing lately is riding his bike around the house with Caleb chasing him down. Occasionally David will almost run Caleb over but it has not happened yet!
Caleb is my little shadow. He will follow me or David all over the house. If I leave the front room and go down to my room or the bathroom soon there will be a little banging on the door. It's Caleb! He loves to chase things around. His main thing today was an ornament that he found to chase down.

I love being a mom!

Josiah hasn't been feeling that well for about a week now. I wish he could just stay in bed for a day and get better. But he has work to do and dosn't even want to stay in bed all day. He has this hacking cough that keeps him up sometimes. I feel so bad for him! Maybe he will be able to rest more tomorrow. I plan on taking the boys to story time. Then we will see how the weather is and maybe do a park too.
We are doing a party for David on Saturday. I am excited and kinda nervous too. I know that we will all have a great time and everything will work out, but at the same time I'm still nervous. We will see how it goes! It will be at a park so that takes a bunch of stress off me, no clean up for all the kids running around and I don't have to worry about that many games. If you have seen our apartment you would agree that a park is the best place to have this! :) After David's party there is a ward party. I'm excited for this! Josiah has the day off so he will be able to go to both things. Yea!

7 months a trip and a birthday... :-)

David is growing bigger and more mobile every day.  He has learned how to roll over!  He rolls to anything in the room and plays with it which prompted a very fast baby proofing of the things at his level.  David can scoot all the way around in a circle on his tummy and often gets stuck under the chair or piano bench while he tries to reach the peddles. So cute!
This month marks David's 7 month birthday!  I can't believe how fast he is growing up.  :)

Josiah is still working at his job and I'm just a stay at home mom.  We are both planning on going to school in the fall.  Josiah will be going back to Dixie and hopefully getting close to completing his program!  I will not be going back to Dixie since I didn't do so hot in my music classes, I love playing the violin, but those music history and theory classes are a killer!  I will instead be going to the DXATC. They have a certificate you can get in AUTOCAD.  That was my major at SUU before I transferred to Dixie. I also hope to be getting my Associates from Dixie soon.  Still need to talk to a councilor about that one.

My brother Chad was making David laugh!  So cute. :)

At the end of May we took a trip to Morenci, Arizona.  That is where Josiah grew up!  It was tons of fun.  We left after he got back from work and traveled all through the night.  We made pretty good time and got there about 11 the next day.  It was a long drive, I'm so glad that Josiah did most of the driving.  I was having the hardest time staying awake!  All in all we spent about a week there I think.  Every day was filled with something to do.  The whole reason we went was for Josiah's 10 year class reunion.  When he found out about it from some of his class mates Josiah was determined that we had to go.  I'm glad that we did.  We went to a dinner/dance one night where everybody was having such a good time.  I think Josiah and I were the first ones to open up the dance floor.  We danced to a country swing dance.  Sad to say, we were the only dancing to that kind of music, so the DJ put on some rap or something loud and lots more people came out to dance.  After that it was about midnight so we left to get back to our little David.  The next day was Sunday.  For those who didn't grow up in an LDS community, there was no church in their town!  Since the town is owned by the mine and the church likes to buy their property there was no LDS meeting house there.  It was interesting. We traveled for about a half hour to get to church.  I think everyone from the entire county meets there.  Relief Socitey was different than I expected.  There was no one to play the piano!  We sang along to a recording.  I take it for granted that everyone knows how to play the piano or at least the top hand.  Later that afternoon there was the second part of the class reunion.  It was a picknick in the park.  I think that part was fun.  We got to see everyone in the day light with their kids.  Josiah knew everyone there so he was off visiting the entire time.   It was fun to go there and see everyone!

This is at the park in Morenci, Arizona.

This month has been another adventure.  I baby sat my Aunt D and Uncle D's children, 4 in all, and my own for a week while the went to work.  It was hard at first, but got easier as I got into the routine of things.
My friend Brittany came down to celebrate her 22nd birthday with us since all of her family was out of town.  It was way fun!  We played video games and watched moves and had cake.  Then the girls, Brittany and I (we left Josiah tending David), went shopping!  It was fun to get out with out David (as much as I love him, sometimes I just need a break!).  So, Happy Birthday to my friend!  I had a great time. :D

My friend Brittany Reeves!  She came down and celebrated her 22nd birthday with us. So fun!!!

In August we are planning a trip up to Salt Lake City, Utah to go and see some friends who moved a little over 3 months ago.  The moved up there so the husband can go to school for his degree.  I am so excited to go and see them!

That's all for now.  I'll write more if I want to... or not at all for a month.  I'll just take it one day at a time for now.  Now to add the pictures. :D  Pictures added, enjoy!
