Thankful

I am so thankful for all the wonderful things that I have. Today has been a really good day. I got to sleep in. When I finally got up Josiah told me that Caleb is starting to army crawl. It is so cute to watch him do that. It seems like Caleb is all over the place and into everything now! Of course he has a really good big brother David to help him with everything.
We were on our way out the door this morning and David brought Caleb's jacket and shoes to him! It was so cute. David is such a good helper. His favorite thing to do is bring Caleb toys. He still needs to work on the delivery. He throws the toy at Caleb. But he is getting better.
We had a surprise visit from Josiah tonight! I thought he wouldn't be home till 10-11 pm but he said he missed us and also needed a break from driving. He had to do a run up north about 6 hrs away. So it was fun to see him for a few. David kept giving Josiah hugs and didn't want to let him out the door again!
I sure do love my cute family!

New post!

This is the first post that will be done from my iPod! It was lost over a year and a half ago and my sweet little David found it yesterday! We had fun celebrating and giving high fives all night long. But the celebration was short lived.
I asked David what color he wanted his spaghetti and he pointed to red. As the unit on the stove was warming up to boil the water David touched the unit! OUCH!!! So now he has a burn that has blistered on his pointer finger. He never made it to eat his spaghetti till later that night. It was such a traumatic experience that David went to take a nap. While he was napping I was able to put Caleb down for his nap too. It was wonderful to have both the boys down for naps at the same time. That hardly ever happens! I figured it was time for me to eat too so I warmed up something in the microwave. When I went to get the zip lock bag out of the mic I opened it with out letting it cool off a little and burned my thumb from the nail bed to the first knuckle. It hurt so bad! Of course when you need pain pills there are none in the house... So I ended up soaking my thumb in cold water for the next hour. My friend read about this little accident on Facebook and brought over some lavender oils to help take away the pain. It was so thoughtful of her! We are all doing better today, thank goodness!
Let this be a lesson to everyone, let your food cool after it's been in the microwave and KEEP your children away from the stove at all times! Even if it is off.

I think I will be posting alot more since I don't have to sit at the computer to type. Have you ever noticed how uncomfortable computer chairs can be?

Halloween

Chad put Caleb to sleep with out even trying.  Caleb's head was starting to bob while sitting with his uncle and then he was out!

This year for Halloween Caleb dressed up as a Lion.  He was super cute in it.

David got to dress up as a Cowboy.  He loved pointing his gun and saying "pow, pow!"  He made a cute cowboy. :)

Introducing Caleb Thomas Ferrin

Caleb Thomas Ferrin was born on April 27, 2012 at 2:40 pm.  He weighed 9 lbs and 7 oz. 21 inches long.  Caleb's delivery was very easy.  He was also a week early!

David likes to hold Caleb any chance he can.

I think they are both smiling in this picture.  Love it!

When I asked if I could take Caleb back David told me NO!  I want to hold him.

David likes showing Caleb how things work.  Caleb seem interested in everything his big brother does.
For my birthday in August we went on Cedar mountain and had a cook out.  It was so much fun!  Josiah and my birthday are only a few days apart so we combine our b-days each year.  David had so much fun playing all over the camping spot we had.  There was a little hike that Josiah and I took.  We got some great pictures and enjoyed the time by ourselves.

The other day we had a visitor!  Sheena Eaton and her little girl Ellie came by to say hi.  We had a great time visiting and catching up.  David and Ellie got along great, sharing toys and having a blast!

Now on a sad note, my Grandfather passed away this month.  The funeral was beautiful and almost everyone from the family was there.   At the cemetary they had a 21 gun salute and a bugler played taps in the distance.  It was very good.  I will always remember my grandpa and miss him very much, but I KNOW that I WILL get to see him again.  My grandpa was a very loving person.  There isn't anyone who wasn't his friend.  Love you Grandpa!

After the funeral, things got a little crazy!  People decided it was a time to celebrate life and went out in the street and danced!  The neighbor from across the street (who is a good friend to everyone)  showed us how to do her chicken dance. It was really fun.
